Some people might say the same of the Great Destroyer itself.
The Remnant is weaker than the Great Destroyer, but that could simply be a function of Drakkar not being as powerful as Primordius and thus having weaker servants. Or it could just be a colonel or captain.
And yes, I was aware that wasn't who you were talking about - I thought you were talking about Whiteout, but I figured the Remnant was stronger and thus a better candidate.

So.. is he upside down or is it meant for his head to look so flat?
(Could've also been flattened to look more like it was encased in ice)

I suspect they just took shortcuts based on the theory that it would only be seen from above, and heavily blurred at that.

I would agree with draxynnic, seeing how Drakkar is so rough on the edges.

There are also quite big skeletons at the 1st level of ravens point dungeon. However they do not need to be connected to Drakkar it can be one of those gigantic beings from the past. However they usually can be found in the desert not in the ice lands so...

They can be found in the desert, the Depths, Ascalon and parts of the north, sourth and far Shiverpeaks. They are most likely the Giganticus Lupicus rather than Dragons that failed.

First;
To all the people saying "Anet can't have planned to put a dragon in <expansion before EotN> because they didn't know they were going to do Ancient Dragons".
Anet owns the game, they can change what they like in it, you wouldn't have noticed anything about a certain location until it becomes of significant importance (i.e. a Dragon is secretly updated there).
Now;
Are Drakkar and Grothmar the official names of the Water/Ice dragons or are they just named that because of the areas they are in?

The moment anything changes within the game the community find it within a few hours - we had the Black Moa Chick mystery down a week before its intended release. Also if you pay attention to the descriptions for the dragons, all the rest are in unreachable places. Anet closed off any loopholes.
What we are saying "Anet cant have placed a dragon there" to are the posts that identify objects as dragons when there is already backstory or reason for the object (see the Twin Serpents and the bones throughout Tyria).

Those are not the official names. We're just using them to identify which is which - to avoid confusion.

I've read the hole thread and saw someone was first wondering why it was called DRAKAR LAKE, and then the thread leader said; Couldnt it just be called Dragon Lake? - Since EOTN is Scandinavian inspired (as i am from Norway) Drake = Dragon:P Drakar Lake = Plural:P So "The Dragon Lake" most likely i suppose you allready knew this just my

I was in Frostmaws and I saw some weird statue. I was lurking through Guru and GWO and could not find any explanations who it can be.
I post a link of a screenshot from someone from GWO:
http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/3164/gwshrinezo6.jpg
Can it be some ancient dragon follower from the times they were awaken? Or maybe it is someone related to our mysterious stranger? It is not a Norn and it is not a Dwarf.
@moderators If this is not the correct thread please move this post to the better section.

That statue is found all over the depths (its in about three or four dungeons and the passage that takes you to Eye of the North). We dont actually know who it is through if i had to guess, i would say it was a leader of some sort to the people that built the areas throughout the depths. I doubt it has anything to do with the Ancient Dragons.
Its interesting that it looks alot like the statue found on Istan (best visible in Kamadan). Some actually believe it to be Menzies (to fit with the fact hes the exact opposite of Balthazar eg Smaller, much more thin, shorter sword)

I wouldn't be so sure it's unrelated, there are large murals of a dragon's head in at least a few places underground and iirc they're fairly similar to the head of Primordus...

That dragon head mural is Primordus, at least concept art. There are two of him in the dungeons.
But they used Concept Art from all campaigns for murals. So I'd say it's unrelated in that aspect.

Correction: The dragon head is not confirmed to be Primordus yet - It has been used on loads of concept art long before EotN. They could of simply stuck that in there for the sake of GW2 having a storyline dedicated to dragons.

Er...what have the murals got to do with a statue? as much as i would like it to be, not everything in EotN is related to the Ancient Dragons.

Holy Moley, that extracted Drakkar Model is the shizz, well done on that dude!
I'm really impressed with it. If possible, could you add a few more angles in? And I could perhaps add them to the first post if that's alright with you. That is if you still have it all accessable and stuff. Also, I would prefer if it was one angle per picture, not 2 or more in the same picture if that's cool.
EDIT: Also, I just noticed that this thread and my other thread about the deep sea dragon made it to The Archives. Totally rad!

I added this thread to the Archives because it was a singular thread soley devoted to Drakkar - and as such could be seperate from the general Ancient Dragon thread to keep the clutter in that thread minimal.
And the Deep Sea Dragon thread I archived to keep that as a singular speculation thread on that dragon. But that didn't work out so well.

I actually came on here tonight because I felt a new thread working away in my mind, you'll probably see it soonish. (It's not related to the dragons)

What is they planeed GW2 all along?
I mean,they could have.
Maybe it was just one of the ideas all along, not very popular but it was.
And what it Utopia was in some ways connected to Dragons,i mean,GW2(and EOTN) is basicly made on Utopia.
I wont be suprised if i see Chronomancers in GW2.

Anet has stated themselves that they did not think of GW2 until working on Utopia. In other words it was not until after NF was already out that Anet didn't think of the concept of Ancient Dragons.
It seems, from the Utopian concept art, that Utopia had something to do with Dhuum, in my opinion.
